International packaging conference & SEFFI AGM
SEFFI AGM |26-27 Sept 2023 | Ghent
Industrial Packaging & The Circular Economy |27-29 Sept 2023 | Ghent
An exciting industrial packaging event is planned for September 2023 in Belgium. Involving several regional and global associations like SEFFI, this big joint event will bring together representatives from throughout the global industrial packaging industry. The initiative is being led by the European Industrial Packaging Association (EIPA), with help from the US association (IPANA), Reusable Industrial Packaging Association (RIPA) and the Japan Drum Reconditioners Association (JDRA).
SEFFI itself has scheduled its own AGM on the two days preceding this event with our global partners, in the same location. Members will soon receive full information on this.
On the theme of the circular economy, the international conference will include a comprehensive line-up of speakers discussing key issues facing manufacturers and reconditioners of industrial packaging. Business trends, technical, regulatory and environmental issues related to our industry will all be covered. And there will be plenty of networking opportunities, to talk about shared concerns with colleagues from over 25 countries. Exhibits by industry suppliers and a cultural programme complete the agenda.
The International Conference on Industrial Packaging will take place in Ghent, which in the Middle Ages was the second largest city of Europe, after Paris. It’s a very accessible location, only a few hours from the transport hubs of Paris, London, Amsterdam, Cologne and Luxembourg by train or car. It’s also an incredibly interesting and beautiful place, one of the most remarkable medieval cities in the world.
The conference will take place in the Marriott Hotel, which is just steps from the river Leie and the medieval part of the city. Registration will be on Wednesday 27 September, with a welcome reception that evening. Conference sessions are planned on the Thursday and Friday starting at 8:30. Exhibitors will be present each day at breakfast and throughout the business sessions.
Should you need any further information or wish to register, please contact SEFFI Secretary, Phil Pease.
